The children from Nursery A and Mrs Kirby’s class had a lovely Easter treat today. We walked to Renwick House in the spring time sunshine to see all the residents. We had a lovely warm welcome and they really enjoyed hearing us sing a collection of Easter and Spring time songs, including ‘Chick Chick Chicken’, ‘Find a Little Seed’ and the rainbow song. They were so kind and gave us sweeties and juice. We had all made an Easter Bonnet at home and we wore them today for our traditional ‘Easter Parade’. We also gave the residents a daffodil that we had made. It was lovely to see the youngest children from our school sharing a lovely experience with our neighbours. The Easter bunny was so pleased with how well the children behaved, their lovely manners, sensible walking and of course their super singing that he left them all a chocolate egg. Delicious! What a lovely start to our Easter celebrations. Thank you to the staff and residents of Renwick House.
